Some people call it personal brand and lifestyle headshots and portrait photography.
I call it soulful portraits capturing the essence of the person behind the brand, their story, their feelings, emotions and energy.
As UK professional female portrait photographer, I love to watch my clients go from feeling the fear of being in front of the camera to the full expansion of joy and happiness as we capture beautiful images together.
Here are 7 steps I use to capture soulful portraits:
1. We celebrate your uniqueness
Yes, yes, yes, you are unique soul. For that reason, I am not going to pose you like a model and influence photoshoot vision on you.
I will be there for you, holding a safe space so you can express yourself.
We co-create the brand and lifestyle photoshoot together.
2. We celebrate you in the most authenticity way
I am not like other professional photographers requiring a make up artist or hair stylist on the day of the indoor or outdoor photoshoot.
It’s quite opposite.
I am all about capturing your essence, embracing imperfectly perfection as you’re are beautiful the way you are.
3. We honour your menstrual cycle
When you’re just about to be bleeding, it’s time to go inwards. But when you are in your full creative flow that’s when the magic happens in front of my camera.

4. We embrace all weather conditions
We don’t fight with the nature.
We use the wind to create movements motions in our pictures.
We use clouds for beautiful dynamic and powerful backdrop.
We play with the light to create the “light & shadow” contrast.
When it comes to rain my dear…. I have to protect my camera and for that reason I would reschedule our outdoor photoshoot in nature to another day.
5. Together we dance with the sun and the moon
Setting an intention and synchronise the brand portrait photoshoot with the full moon or new moon arising energy is something I am passionate about.
6. We honour your energy level
If you’re more energised and productive in the morning let’s go for walk with me and my camera during the sunrise.
If you are a night owl, sunset time is perfect for your photoshoot.
If you’re a high sensitive soul like me we will ensure a privacy during the photoshoot.
7. We become one with nature
Nature has a healing quality, from the grounding energy (forest, woodland), expansion (open space & beach) to very femine flowy energy (river, lake).
