As a professional Brighton based photographer I have the pleasure to photograph soulful brand portraits and expressive headshots for creative business owners, female entrepreneurs and artist who are ready to be more visible online.

Chihiro is one of them.

Lifestyle brand portrait photoshoot with A Brighton artist

Chihiro Has is an Japanese artist based in Shoreham, on the Sussex coast specialising in bespoke art pieces using an alcohol ink art technique combined with line drawing.

She also runs multiple mindful art workshops around the Sussex area. And that’s how I met Chihiro, by attending one of her art classes in Brighton.

I was impressed by her talent, passion and friendly approach during the workshop. I knew from the moment I met Chihiro that we would create something unique for her online visibility journey on social media.

My speciality (as female brand photographer) is 100% authentic natural portraits, documenting behind the scenes of your art process in your art studio or my Brighton and Hove house studio.

I approach every personal brand photo session in a creative way, yet very gentle, especially if you are camera shy or introverted (like me).

Photo session location

Alcohol ink is vibrant and bright and comes with bold colour selection. Having that in mind we decided that the best location for Chihro’s photoshoot would be my house which I am using a lot for lifestyle brand portrait photo sessions.

The modern, natural and minimalistic design of my house (which is located in Hove area) was a perfect backdrop for this vibrant artwork. We kept it simple: a couple o outfit changes, set up changes, and only using natural light. We laughed, we painted and took new headshots for Chihro’s website.

After the photoshoot I had the pleasure to have a private worksop with Chihiro in order to create my own alcohol ink artwork. I’m in love with this creative process.

Hi, my name is Magdalena and I am your Brighton based personal brand and business portrait photographer. And for really long time I have been hiding behind logo, website and beautiful portrait images I took for my clients…until I realised that “people buys from people”!

If I am not behind the camera, photographing soulful female entrepreneurs from Brighton, I paint. As a visual artist I love creating and combining different mediums of expression: portrait photography, story telling videos and intuitive abstract painting.
