What if I tell you… this epic personal brand portrait photoshoot in London only happened because my client fully trusted me as a photographer.

She never questioned me.

She didn’t give me a massive list of the things I needed to capture.

She just said to me: I want you to do your thing!

And this is what happened.

Meet your Brighton & London portrait photographer

Hi, my name is Magdalena, I am Brighton based professional portrait and business headshot photographer, often traveling with my camera to London for brand photoshoots too.

My speciality is to help creative business owners and entrepreneurs connect with their ideal clients through soulful brand photography. I do it my way, by capturing images that are full of personality yet natural looking. This is how I do it:

1. Less planning before the portrait photoshoot.

I will not necessary ask you to fill in a long questionnaire/survey about you and your brand. I will not ask you to create a brand photoshoot mood board using Pinterest unless you want to. Or ask you to provide a long list of locations.

My preference will be always to connect with you over the phone or in person before the photoshoot. Having this initial conversation helps me understand if we’re the right match for each other and to learn more about you, your story. Then, together, we envision and plan your photoshoot (including location, props, outfits, type of images, logistics etc).

2. More freedom on the day! More spontaneous. More of YOU.

Those natural looking portrait images only happens when you fully let go of trying to look good in front of camera (posing).

When you let go of trying to control every aspect of the photoshoot (that’s one of the reason I don’t use a Pinterest mood board as an photoshoot inspiration).

In the moment when you surrender, trust and let go, the magic happens in front of the camera.

This might surprise you but as a photographer I will not necessary pose you, rather, I’ll invite you to do sit, walk or to use your hands in the most natural way, that feels right. I love incorporating breathing practices to release any tension in your body (especially the neck & shoulders) and embodied movement to get you feeing good.

3. More trusting and going with the flow.

As a female photographer with years of experience photographing online female entrepreneurs, I will help you feel less constrained and less self conscious on the day.

My goal during the brand photoshoot is to create a safe space where you feel liberated to express yourself with ease.

This was our second brand photoshoot (previous photoshoots took place in a London photography studio), this time in a luxuriously designed house located only 30 minutes from central London.

Did I tell you I love combining brand videos and taking pictures on the day of the brand photo session?

We spent 2.5 hours together, multiple outfits changes, from lifestyle brand portrait images to filming short video clips for social media.
