During my phone consultations, I often hear women admit that they feel shy and uncomfortable in front of the camera.
For them, a professional portrait photo shoot can be seen as a challenging and scary thing to do.
While I believe in the benefits and power of going out of our comfort zone, I also think that a personal brand photo session should be a fun, unique and exciting experience and an opportunity for a woman to shine, get in touch with herself and express who she is in the most authentic way.

When I spoke to Landa, a Tantra yoga teacher, massage therapist and conscious dance facilitator from South Devon, she told me that she was reluctant to put herself in front of the camera again after having had some uncomfortable photo shoot experiences in the past. She mentioned that it was not easy for her to feel at ease and be authentic in front of the camera.
We instantly clicked together and by the end of our conversation she felt the excitement of co-creating beautiful brand images for her website and promotional materials.
I travelled to Devon for the first time and fell in love with its beauty.
The landscapes inspired me greatly and my creative spirit was thriving!
And then I met Landa and I got even more inspired.
I fell in love with her kind and gentle personality and knew that our session was going to be amazing.
And amazing it was!
Landa had a clear vision of what she wanted: authentic pictures of her being herself, which meant running and dancing around, connecting with the sea and the earth that she loves so much, and most importantly being natural and not wearing any make-up as she is in her every-day life.
It was raining that day (like every time I am in Devon!) but we found a window of clear sky in the afternoon and drove to the beach (no, we don’t need the sun to create incredible photos!).
The place took my breath away and I felt immediately in my element.
I am pretty sure that Landa felt my relaxed energy as she went on running around, dancing and expressing herself freely as if the camera wasn’t there.
It was such a joy to witness her freedom and an honour to capture these precious moments of beauty. Landa was so vibrant and alive that I could barely keep up with her!

We both had a wonderful time. But more than that, we both left the photo shoot feeling happy, fulfilled and nourished by each other’s presence. And this was the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

Landa now has photos that tell her story and portray who she really is.
They are the visual representation of her work and what it is like to work with her. She offers a lush four-handed massage in partnership with another skilled therapist, facilitates cacao and Tantra dance ceremonies and has just launched her own yoga and Tantra dance teacher training.
She is soaring and living her dreams!
