You really don’t have to look straight into the camera. Candid photos, capturing you in the moment: either walking on the beach, drinking coffee, running (if you are into sports) or reading your favourite book, are much more authentic and reveal more information about you.
2. Wear something colourful rather black and white or choose colourful background. It instantly makes the photos more attractive and interesting.
3. Bring a change of outfits and different accessories. Just by adding a scarf, different pair of earrings, adding or removing a jacket or a cardigan will give you several different looks.
Suddenly, pictures do not look like they have been taken during one photo session.
4. Choose your favourite outdoor location which truly reflects you, your personality and lifestyle. From a quirky street corner, graffiti, your favourite coffee shop, beach or nearest park. I take my clients for a walk, we explore Brighton or London and take pictures.
5. Why not incorporate some props? Think about holding something you love and that reflects you and your passion or hobby.

It provides an interesting talking point. It instantly reveals a little more about you.
6. Wear your favourite outfits. I often ask people to bring outfits that would be suitable for a first date, so people can get a good impression of what it would be like to meet them.
Wear something comfortable, casual rather than too stylish.
First impressions matter but you do not want to go overboard with buying a brand new wardrobe especially for the photo session.
7. And do not forget to smile. Do not forget to enjoy the experience. Just relax and enjoy the photo session.
