Do you know the one thing that most of my beautiful clients have in common?
It’s something most heart-centred women can relate to, including myself….we have found our PURPOSE!
Having worked in the corporate world for many years before becoming a Brighton-based portrait & headshot photographer, I embarked on a journey of self-discovery and started to align with my purpose.
Leaving my 9-5 job behind was the beginning of a new, authentic and creative self.
One that felt like my calling.
Tuning into my purpose meant that I could use my vision, artistry and imagination to help others to be more seen, whether that be through professional portrait photographs in my studio, outdoor personal brand portrait photographs or commercial business headshots.
I have particularly enjoyed helping women to become more visible and more heard within the patriarchal world.
Working within the beautiful epic landscape that Sussex, Brighton and Hove has to offer, my clients’ photographs are accentuated by the natural world, complemented by the sea, private beaches, white cliffs and glorious green that we are surrounded by (my top 3 Sussex best beach locations for your portrait brand photo session).
She helps women heal, transform and grow, as well as providing mental wellbeing help for self-healing.
As a female photographer, I love helping other women to achieve their vision.
Having also left the corporate world to align with her purpose, and help women to heal, I couldn’t help but see the parallels between mine and Charlotte’s work.
Charlotte wanted a professional personal brand portrait photo session which would capture her nurturing brand, and everything that she represents.
Although a little camera-shy, we combined indoor and outdoor space, using my home studio in Brighton & Hove for a more professional look, but also Hove beach for a more ethereal and earthy backdrop.
The energy of the beach worked perfectly to represent Charlotte in all her glory, allowing the healing powers of Mother Nature to be communicated - echoing the brilliant and nourishing work that Charlotte does.
Having worked in marketing for TV and film, Charlotte has a strong eye for aesthetics. This allowed us to be curious, playful and inventive when planning the personal brand photographs.
This demonstrated the way in which Charlotte combines the practical with the spiritual, within her work as a healer.
Charlotte is an advocate for self-love and loving the body and how we look, helping to undo the damage that western culture’s media has done to millions of women.
In order to help Charlotte shine and embody her healing powers in these photographs, she wore flowy outfits to demonstrate the divine feminine.
Demonstrating that we are at one with each other and also with nature, the brand portrait photographs show her blending in with various props and backdrops, including flowers, crystals, the sea and the sky, creating a soft and feminine look overall.
Becoming more visible with Brighton-based female photographer
This unique personal brand portrait session was an amazing opportunity to help Charlotte become more visible, and communicate what her brand represents.
Drawing from many aspects of her life experience and personality, we worked together to depict an empowered female whose mission it is to help heal others.
