Looking to learn how to paint intuitively, free- flowing and expressive large abstract painting?

During this unique one-day workshop in my private art studio in Brighton & Hove (only 1 hour from London) you will learn how to create large abstract art that is both expressive and liberating.

This isn’t a typical painting art class for adults. This isn’t a “paint by numbers” class or “copy how I paint” approach.

In this intuitive painting class we will do things differently:

Throughout the day, you will have the chance to experiment with a wide range of art materials, including acrylic paint, watercolours, spray paint, pastels, and more (all mixed art materials provided).
The goal is to break free from any limiting beliefs or expectations and fully express yourself through bold brush movements, vibrant colors, and unique texture.
Together we will discover your creative voice and allow your inner world, feelings, and emotions to come to life on the large canvas.
Unlike traditional painting classes, this abstract workshop encourages you to let go of limitations, break the rules and paint intuitively.
Instead of following instructions or copying a specific style, you will have the freedom to let your intuition, rather than your mind, guide the brush to create a truly unique large abstract piece which you can take home and hang in your home if you wish.

Who is this class for?

This painting workshop is perfect for beginners and for those who may feel apprehensive about their creative abilities. There is no need to worry about not being able to paint or draw, this class is designed to be a safe space for everyone.

Whether you are an experienced artist or haven't picked up a paintbrush in years, this workshop will provide an opportunity for you to reconnect with your creativity and express yourself through art.

The people who come to this class are from all walks of life: freelancers, entrepreneurs, website designers, yoga teachers, success coaches, parents….whatever! The urge to create and express through painting brings us together. So let’s seek inspiration, experiment, let go, and nurture our creativity together - for creativity is an essential part of human nature. The practice of making art is the practice of living fully.

Please note: This is not about creating beautiful art or being good at painting. It’s a way to express yourself, experiment with art materials while having fun. With abstract painting there is no right or wrong so you can’t make mistakes. Your hands will move intuitively, without thought. I will be there to inspire you and guid you. Together we will learn to let go, surrender and see what emerges in front of us. No previous experience is required.
