Recently I had a client call who was a very self-conscious about booking a portrait photoshoot with me because of her age, camera shyness and all of the influencer style photos flooding social media.
And another client conversation who has just retired and would like to share her wisdom by creating an online training business but worrying that it might be too late for her….
Not mentioning that “personal branding“ , “brand photography” and “brand design” is a buzzword and can feel overwhelming for many of us.

Top 5 misconceptions when it comes to have your photoshoot done
(sharing based on hundreds of soulful portrait photoshoots with women in business):
You don’t have to be an influencer(aka Instagram account with thousands of followers) to have a professional brand portrait photoshoot for your business.
You don’t have to pretend to be something you’re not or create a fake persona or image on a photoshoot.
You don’t need to buy a brand new expensive branded outfits before the photoshoot.
You don’t need make up artist or hair stylist on the day of of your photoshoot. Keep it simple, be more you, more authentic.
You don’t have to rent luxurious villa as a location for your photoshoot. Most of my clients choose to have they headshots taken in my house studio, in their home, in nature, local trendy caffe or co-working space.
