3 different locations for your business headshots

Let’s talk about headshots!

Let’s talk about those engaging, full of personality, relaxed business headshots - perfect for your LinkIn profile or social media or website. Those kind of headshots are my speciality!

I’m Magdalena, professional personal branding portrait photographer for UK female entrepreneurs, based in sunny Brighton & Hove (often in London area too).

One of the most common question I am asked by my clients is about the location of the photoshoot. So I thought I’d put together this guide to inspire you to take your headshots to the next level.

  1. Relaxed Headshots in my house studio, Brighton & Hove area

If you are an entrepreneur or small business owner, then coming to my studio in the Brighton and Hove area would be the easiest option for getting professional (but relaxed looking) headshots. Everything is ready and set up for your photoshoot.

Photographer tip: My home studio is perfect for those who value privacy on the day of the photoshoot. If it’s your first professional photo session or if you’ve had a bad previous experience, or you are little bit camera shy, this would be a good option for you.

As a professional female photographer I am only using natural light (rather than studio light) which helps to make your feel relaxed and make your skin look glowing.

I don’t necessary use white or different colour studio backgrounds. My style is more relaxed and authentic. The natural decor of my house (white walls) creates a perfect backdrop for lifestyle, personal brand portrait photography as well as business headshots.

2. Outdoor headshots

My second favourite location for your business headshots is outdoor: nearest park or green area, right outside your office building, street or Brighton beach and colourful buildings.

Why you should consider headshots outdoor?

Outdoor business headshots are perfect to capture a more relaxed look with more of your personality. They’re great for creating a different aesthetic, in line with your brand.

Also . . . using architecture, glass or colourful backgrounds (such as graffiti or a colourful building) can add a lot to the final portrait image.

3. Your own work space, co-working

As Brighton & Hove based professional portrait photographer, I have the capacity to pack my equipment and travel to you. I am covering the Sussex area and sometimes beyond Brighton & Hove.

We will use your office space background and natural light, as I prefer to focus on making you relaxed and comfortable in front of camera rather set up giant studio lights that make you feel overwhelmed on the day of photoshoot.

Traveling to you is the perfect way to get headshots of all of your employees in one place and in one session. I always do my best to schedule your photoshoot around your busy schedule, maybe after a weekly or monthly staff meeting. I had recently headshot photoshoot in one of the local accounting firm and that’s what we created: relaxed small business headshots.
